La Parguera bioluminescent bay, Lajas (boat, swimming allowed)
On the southwest coast, about two and a half hours from San Juan. You go out by boat and get in the water.

Which bay fits your trip?
- Staying in San Juan, one free evening: Fajardo. One hour each way; book the version with hotel pickup if you do not have a car, or book a private driver.

Only in La Parguera. Swimming is not allowed in Laguna Grande or Mosquito Bay, which are protected reserves.

How far is the bio bay from San Juan?
Fajardo is about one hour by car. La Parguera is about two and a half hours. Vieques needs a ferry from Ceiba or a short flight.

It is tight. The early evening tour is the only one that makes the last ferry, so most people stay the night.
